Each month I will post coloring pages, activities a short story and a craft idea targeting pre-readers. My goal is to expand these posts into a monthly magazine.
We are Orthodox converts with two small boys. My boys love to go to church. We watch English services online and have pretend processions around the coffee table. As a stay at home mom, I part of my job is "daycare provider" but I am responsible for keeping them happy, healthy, and fed; physically and spiritually. I was truly surprised when I could not find an Orthodox magazine for kids. Since I make crafts and do icon coloring pages with my son older son, I decided to start this site and post them monthly.
Since I stopped teaching to raise my own children, I often feel the need to do something that will engage my brain. I felt the need to do something for myself. I tried coloring books and exercise, but it felt empty, like it wasn't the right direction. So I start this journey for myself, my children, and other Orthodox Moms.
I will base my posts on activities that are appropriate for my sons but as this project grows I will expand for other age groups. God willing, I would love to have a printed monthly magazine but for now please use whatever may be helpful for your family.
